About Us

Harold Wood, Hill, Park Residents’ Association (HWHPRA) was set up in 2009 and is a non-poilitical grassroots organisation which represents the interests of local residents within the electoral boundary of Harold Wood in the London Borough of Havering. This area covers the majority of Harold Wood, large parts of Harold Park south of the A12, and a section of Harold Hill up to Faringdon Avenue.

The origins of the Residents Association in this area has been in existence for many years and candidates for local elections generally stood under the Havering Residents’ Association name though it was decided in 2009 that we should formally register the new party name with the electoral commission.

In 2010, Brian Eagling was the first person to be elected under the HWHPRA banner where he served in Harold Wood ward within the Council. In 2014, Darren Wise and Alex Donald were elected and joined Brian in the Town Hall as elected representatives of the Harold Wood ward. As at May 2018 both Brian Eagling and Darren Wise were re-elected and Martin Goode was also elected to represent the interests of the Harold Wood Ward residents as Residents Association Councillors. We are not affiliated to any other party. This website is set up to inform the community on what is happening in their area.
