Details of forthcoming trips
Thursday 27 September 2018. – A Guided Tour of the Cotswolds.
We start at Burford where we meet our blue badge guide Helen, who lives in the area. Who better to guide us through the pretty villages of the Cotswolds. A stop for you to buy lunch will be in Broadway and then the day will end with free time in Bourton-on-the-Water. Price is for return coach and services of Blue Badge Guide £30.00. Thursday 18 October 2018. – A Day Trip to Norwich.
We start at Cambridge for a morning coffee/tea & cake stop, included in the price. We then continue on to Norwich where you will have at least 4.5 hours to explore this historic town, There are two cathedrals, a castle, gardens, large market & a modern traffic free shopping centre. Tuesday 6 November 2018. – A Twilight Meeting at Kempton Park.
This is Horse racing under floodlights. First race is off at 4.45pm. Lunch is at 3.oopm before the racing starts. The Panoramic Restaurant at Kempton Park is our destination. A 2 course lunch is included plus you get to keep your seats and table throughout the racing. The bar is open throughout. Behind a glass wall, in full view of the entire racecourse, it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing you will remain warm and dry. Saturday 24 November 2018. – Christmas at Van Hage.
Van Hage must be one of the largest garden centres in the South East. Besides an enormous Christmas department there are numerous concessions where you can find that elusive gift plus a garden zoo, ride-on miniature steam railway, a carousel and indoor ice skating rink. Wednesday 12 December 2018 – “Cruise into Christmas”
Following the success of this trip in 2017 we are repeating it for 2018. Also there is NO price increase. This is a 3 hour cruise on the River Thames with a FREE glass of Prosecco as you board and a three course Christmas lunch with hot Turkey main course plus entertainment throughout the cruise. (On our website there is a video of this event in 2017). Price is for return coach,3 hour cruise and the 3 course Christmas lunch & entertainment on the boat. Adults £55.00
(There is an optional tour of the London Christmas lights plus a short visit to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. ADD £3.00 per person)
Ardleigh House serves the local community by offering leisure classes and a place for groups to meet within the community. It is a registered charity, is non-profit making and self-financing (no financial support is given by the Council or central Government) but it is able to offer a wide range of activities to a wide age group. There are spaces available in most of the classes and some of the clubs would welcome new members. Our “pleasure for leisure” classes are all tutor lead in small friendly classes, without exam pressure, are reasonably priced so come along & meet new friends & have fun.
