As per government instructions our WI is currently unable to meet until the restrictions are lifted. However this hasn’t stopped us keeping in touch, looking out and helping each and helping in our community. Whilst we are unable to meet we have set ourselves a craft challenge and all will be displayed and sold for our chosen charity at Christmas if all is well by then.We have set up a pen pals group and members have been paired with ladies they didn’t know before so new friendships will be made. Every member gets a regular call to see if they are ok. We have held a facebook quiz and holding a number of little events either online or via the phone. Bookclub is now held on Zoom. One of our members is also helping at the food bank. So we are keeping busy and very much looking forward to when we can all return to our WI that we all love so much.
The committee is working as hard as ever on wonderful things to do as soon as we are able. There will be meals out, cinema trips and one hell of a celebration as soon as it is safe to do so. Wishing you and your families strength and hope. See you as soon as we can.
