Weed Control
This years weed spraying treatment plan started on 1st March and will continue through to November. Spraying is carried out 4 times a year on public highways and footpaths and each treatment takes about 8 weeks to cover the whole borough. The first treatment should be completed by the middle of May weather permitting.
Approximately three weeks after the weeds are sprayed they will die off and turn brown. Residential roads are serviced by the street cleansing teams.
The table below (see link) shows when each ward will receive scheduled weed spraying treatments. Please note that the dates listed in the table below are approximate dates and could change dependant on weather conditions.
