TFL are considering the 497 bus route that currently runs between Harold Wood Station to Harold Hill, Gooshays Drive via Gallows Corner Tesco. They are holding a public consultation on the proposals, running from 6 September to 17 October 2021, and you can find details on how to comment on these here – https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/bus-route-497
There are 2 proposals – one is to extend the route to serve bus stops between Gooshays Drive and a new terminus at Dagnam Park Square and the other proposal is to withdraw the service.
Hi, I am Wheel Chair brand and can only get out of the house why are they using dial a ride or the 347 bus because of my wheelchair makes me too large to get into taxis.
The bus service should be improved to a 15 minute time schedule and run on Sundays should be starting earlier at 7 am and running to at least 9 p.m. in the evening. This would also allow commuters to use both train stations at Minster and a reward just in case there is any faults with the Elizabeth line or the C2C.
Presently I can only use one dial a ride per week return journey and as people get older and because of the uled I have carers who don’t have their own transport. Come 24 hours a day to look after me. Also I know that down on Hall Lane there is a large nursing home and that they do not have facilities to get the carers and I see them often walking up the hill.
