Here is the latest update on school streets for Harold Wood.
1) The council are still analysing data from the consultation they undertook in June 2023
2) The council still need to decide whether to make the scheme permanent
3) Initial analysis of emails indicate that residents in Prospect Road do not want the scheme implemented in their road which would be problematic if residents in Redden Court Road wanted it in theirs.
4) If there is interest from residents in Redden Court Road to be included in the school streets scheme then a separate consultation would need to take place and consideration would have to be taken into account of the A127 slip road at the end of Redden Court. Traffic surveys would need to be undertaken by the council. This will only be considered after the June 2023 consultation has been analysed and reported upon.
5) We are unlikely to get any further news on the consultation outcome until at least Q1 2024 and maybe later than that.
