Well done to residents in Harold Wood and Havering for supporting the petition.

  1. As an 84-yr. old woman, I can’t believe that the Council would even consider
charging to park in our parks! I like to walk around Harold Wood Park each Sunday morning, but cannot walk from my home to the Park as well, so need to take my car to get there. If I have to pay, I shall not be able to enjoy this at all. Young people who come to play football, cricket and tennis, etc. are brought to the Park by their parents – what a disgrace to charge them for helping their children to keep healthy and meeting their friends instead of staring at a mobile ‘phone all day.

Charging people to park in the Park will mean only the people able to walk there who will be able to use this lovely space.

  2. Well done Lilian, thank you very much for speaking up for all of us. At last common sense has prevailed.
