The council have made us aware of some upcoming road closures linked to the M25 J28 improvement scheme.
M25 J28 anti-clockwise entry slip – weekend closure
National Highways will be closing the M25 anti clockwise entry slip at junction 28 to carry out essential drainage and street lighting works. The entry slip will be closed from 11pm Friday 31st May to 5am Monday 3rd June. During the closure drivers are being advised to travel to Gallows Corner and use the A127 to join the M25 and at junction 29.
A12 eastbound exit slip road – Installation of the Grove Culvert
The contractor delivering the M25/J28 Scheme will be constructing and installing an new culvert on the land adjacent to the A12 Eastbound off-slip. To carry out this work they require the full closure of the slip road over two weekends. The A12 Eastbound off slip will be fully closed:
- 10pm Friday 7th June to 5am Monday 10th June
- 10 pm Friday 14th June to 5am Monday 17th June.
Drivers are again being advised to use Gallows Corner and the A127 and to access to M25 at junction 29.

A12 & Maylands Way Utility Works
In addition, Maylands Way will be closed from the A12 to carry out utility works. There will be no access directly into Maylands Way from the A12 from 9:30am Tuesday 28th May to 9am Tuesday 11th June. A signed diversion route will be in place. In addition, a lane on the A12 westbound will be closed between Maylands Way and Harold Court Road from 9am on Tuesday 28th May to 9am Thursday 6th June, although access will be maintained for properties within the closure on the A12.
