The council have advised that as part of the consultation and decision to implement permanently the school streets of Phase 2, a review of the school street was carried out and a number of measures proposed to improve its performance or to remediate issues.
One of these measures was to move the extents of the Redden Court School Street located in Coombe Road. The proposal was to extend the zone to the junction with Redden Court Road from its current location on the junction with Beltinge Road. The aim of this proposal is to deter dangerous manoeuvres that were witnessed as part of the review in Coombe Road such as three point turns and inconsiderate parking during the school drop-off and pick-up times. Letters will be sent to the properties of Coombe Road inviting them directly to the consultation on TraffWeb. See attached letter
Coombe Road – Consultation letter
The consultation on the above measure will start this Friday 11th October and last until the 1st November.
