Harold Wood Sports Association (HWSA)- Help wanted
HWSA was established over 30 years ago with the aim of running the clubhouse in Harold Wood Park supporting local community sports teams. The building provides somewhere safe for the youngsters of our community to experience football, cricket and athletics as well as providing a social hub for the whole community.
HWSA is run by a committee of volunteers. We are looking for new recruits to join the committee that would be passionate about keeping the building functioning and work with the sports clubs to provide a first-class facility that many other communities would be envious of.
We need a new Treasurer and Secretary to join our committee. The new volunteers would ideally have previous experience of working as volunteers in a similar environment, but this is not essential. We really need enthusiastic and community minded people to come on board and help us.
Without new volunteers, the club is in danger of closure, which would impact the Youth Football, Men’s Football, Cricket and Running Club that all rely on this facility to operate.
